Punching and Pressing

At SKE Punching, we specialize in providing in-house manufacturing solutions tailored to your motor component punching and pressing needs. Our facility is equipped with a variety of machines, including stamping presses, hydraulic presses, and a pneumatic presses, . This range allows us to take on diverse projects with both precision and flexibility. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions our skilled estimators and engineers take the time to understand your specific requirements and help identify the most practical, efficient, and cost-effective way to get the job done right.

Stamping

Stamping is a precise metal-forming process that transforms flat sheet metal, whether in coil or blank form, into finished parts using a press along with custom-built dies. Each stamping die is carefully engineered for the specific part being produced. While the upfront investment and lead time for tooling can be higher, the benefits quickly become clear in medium- to large- production runs, where the cost per part decreases significantly.

At SKE Punching, we’re equipped to handle a wide range of stamping projects with:

  • Press capacities from 60 tons up to 300 tons

  • Press beds measuring up to 1800″ by 800″

  • Full in-house die design and engineering support

  • Complete in-house tooling fabrication and assembly

Hydraulic Press & Pneumatic Press

A hydraulic press uses the power of a hydraulic cylinder to deliver strong, consistent compressive force. This makes it especially useful for applications like pressing stacked cores or seating fasteners with the help of custom tools and fixtures. At SKE Punching, we offer hydraulic presses with capacities up to 150 tons, giving us the flexibility to handle a wide range of demanding manufacturing tasks with accuracy and control.

On the other hand, a pneumatic power press—often called a pneumatic punching machine- relies on compressed air to perform fast, efficient punching operations. It’s a staple in industrial manufacturing thanks to its smooth operation, low maintenance needs, and reliability. These presses come in various configurations, including C-frame, H-frame, C-type, and double crank models, allowing them to meet different production needs. Pneumatic presses are especially popular in metalworking and forming processes due to their simple design, energy efficiency, and ease of use.

Tool Room

The tool room is the backbone of any efficient manufacturing operation. At SKE, it’s where we design and develop high-performance progressive tools and component tools that drive precision and productivity on the shop floor. Our expert team specializes in precision tooling, ensuring that every tool, die, mold, jig, and fixture is crafted with accuracy and built to last. Equipped with advanced design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, we create detailed tool designs that meet exacting specifications. From new tool fabrication to routine maintenance and quick repairs, our tool room plays a vital role in minimizing downtime, maintaining consistent quality, and keeping production running smoothly.
